Ferrosilicon nitride Production: Ferrosilicon nitride is obtained through nitriding FeSi 75% in a Nitrogen Production Cell. After finishing the nitriding process, the product is put into the Shaft Kiln and then grinded to obtain the right grain size of the powder. To guarantee the compliance with the specification, the final product is analyzed in our Quality lab.
There are two grades of Ferrosilicon Nitride:
Ferrosilicon nitride – Metallurgy Grade: Produced from FeSi 75% Standard Grade and nitrogen gas of simple distillation. This material is intended for applications in the Steel Industry.
Ferrosilicon nitride – Refractory Grade: Produced from FeSi 75% HP and processed into Shaft Kiln with control of impurities of nitrogen gas. This material is intended for applications in Refractory Industry and has low levels of silicon oxynitride, crystalline and amorphous silicon dioxide. Due to its properties, Ferrosilicon Nitride has been used as raw materials for ceramic and refractories, specially for strengthening unshaped refractories.
